One evening a man was walking along a beach when he saw a boy picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. The man asked the boy, “What difference will your efforts make when there are thousands of starfish on the beach?”The boy stopped and looked at the starfish he was holding and said, “It will make a difference to this one”. Anyone can make a difference; it all depends on the attitude.

Nature has provided bountiful resources surrounding us for sustenance of a better life. Caring for natural resources and promoting their sustainable use is an essential response of world community to ensure its own survival and well being. The principal goal of education in schools is to enable the students to live life that is economically, politically, socially and culturally responsible; creating future citizens who are creative, inventive and discoverers-Achievers, Challengers, Cruisers, Explorers and Pioneers. Our highest endeavour is to teach our learners to aim for a high quality of living for the entire mankind by judicious utilization and management of nature and its resources which are essential for all life support system like air, water, land, flora- fauna, bio diversity and ecosystems. Conscientious efforts have to be made to adopt the 5r’s- recycle, refuse, reduce, reuse and reform. To waste, to destroy  our natural resources, to exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its utility, will result in undermining the days of our children, the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.

At SPS, we positively inculcate the same in our children telling them to believe that, “I may not be the only one, but still I am one and I may not be able to do everything but still I can do something”.
