Stick puppet activity for kindergarteners

 Stick puppet activity for kindergarteners- 09 July, 2012

 To welcome the kindergarten students back to school after the summer break ‘Stick Puppet Activity’ was organised for them on Monday, 09 July, 2012. A mango shaped cutout was provided to the students of class L.K.G. After colouring, they pasted it on ice-cream sticks with ‘Welcome to school’ written on them.

 Students of U.K.G. coloured an ‘Umbrella’ cutout and pasted it on ice-cream sticks with ‘Welcome Back to School’ written on them.

 

 “Circle Time” - a recap activity

“Circle Time” – a recap activity- 09 July, 2012

After a long and relaxing summer vacations, to give warmth and affection to the tiny tots and get them into a receptive mode, teachers organised ‘Circle time’ and ‘Welcome back takeaways’ for U.K.G. on Monday, 09 July, 2012. Children were asked to sit on the mat along with the class teacher in the form of a circle. They shared their experience of vacations with their friends and teachers. Children bonded extremely well with their teachers and had fun talking to them.

 The movie “Tom and Jerry” was shown to the tiny tots on Friday, 20 July, 2012. They enjoyed watching the mischievous antics of Tom and Jerry with laughs and giggles.

 

Word Building Activity for classes I & II

Word Building Activity for class I- Wednesday, 25 July, 2012

“Words can do wonder”- to put forth this thought to children a Word Building Activity was organized on Wednesday, 25 July, 2012 for the students of Class-I. The word ‘RAINCOAT’ was given to the children and they were asked to frame as many words as possible. They enjoyed making different words like ant, ran, cot, coat and many more.

To enhance the vocabulary of Class-II students a Word Building Activity was held on Wednesday, 25 July, 2012. Students were encouraged to think and form new words with “RAINDROPS”. They came up with in, and, sand, soap, drop, etc and enjoyed making new words.

 Colour Day Activity on Friday, 27July, 2012

“Colour – Colour every where, know the colour what you wear”. Colour Day was organised for L.K.G. classes on Friday, 27 July, 2012. It was a special day for kids as they were happily dressed up in a variety of attires in significant colours.
