Activity-Animal Mask Race
Instilling healthy competitionin the formativeyearsis vital for all round development. So the toddlers were brought out of their comfort zone for a fun filled Animal Mask Race Activity. Beautiful, animated and attractive masks of Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, Lions, Rhinos, Brown Bears, Snowy Owls and Reindeers etc were made as a class activity by teachers with the tiny ones assisting them in coloring and pasting. The students then wore the masks of the animals of their choice and were taken to the huge playground to enjoy themselves in the bright sunshine. Their happiness and excitement was uncontrollable. It was a pleasant sight to see little animals running enthusiastically on the track field to reach their goals. Their destination points had their habitat, home and food that had been beautifully crafted on charts. Such an exposure was the very first of its kind for the little ones and had a mixed response. The environment reverberated with animalsounds, songs and poems. The aim of the activity was to demonstrate the use of different senses to guide movements and recognize objects, develop enjoyment and disposition for music and at the same time enhance physical health and foster motor development.
