Activity: Cultural Exploration – Discovering the World Through Dance
As part of the vibrant initiative Dance Mania: An Amalgam of Varied Cultures, students of Class VI participated in an engaging Cultural Exploration activity that introduced them to the rich dance traditions of different countries. Each section represented a nation known for its distinctive dance form and researched its culture, music, costumes, and performance style. Through colourful PowerPoint presentations and interactive discussions, students shared fascinating insights about how dance reflects the history and identity of a country.
The activity encouraged students to look beyond textbooks and explore global traditions in a meaningful way. As they presented their findings to other sections, they developed confidence in public speaking and enhanced their research and collaboration skills. More importantly, they gained a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and realised how dance serves as a powerful medium of storytelling and heritage across the world.

Activity: Storytelling Through Dance – Creative Skit Performance
Creativity and imagination came alive as students participated in a unique activity that combined storytelling with dance. Working collaboratively, students scripted and performed short skits that blended dramatic narration with traditional or contemporary dance movements. The activity encouraged them to think creatively about how emotions, ideas, and cultural themes can be expressed through both words and movement.
The experience strengthened teamwork as students planned their scripts, rehearsed their performances, and supported one another on stage. Through this artistic fusion of drama and dance, students learned the value of cooperation, creative expression, and confidence in performance. They also discovered that performing arts can communicate powerful messages and stories even beyond spoken language.
